Update Billing Info by Date
Update Billing Info by Date - order batch update by service day
Use this form to update billing details (Bill To, Bill Type, Payer) for many orders at once based on service dates. The grid lists Patients (with DOB) and shows each day of the selected month as clickable cells.
Best for: servicing facilities like skilled nursing homes that provide a Medicare Part A roster of covered days.
How it works
- Load patients for a specific Client and Month.
Select covered days:
- Click individual day cells; click-and-drag to select ranges.
- Use the Column All checkbox to select the entire month for a patient.
Set billing:
- Choose Bill To, Bill Type (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial Insurance), and Payer.
- For Medicare Part A, select Bill To = Client.
- If the client contract includes a per‑diem rate, it displays in the top‑right; check Apply Per Diem Rate to use it.
Apply:
- Click Update to apply billing changes only, or
- Click Update and Bill to apply changes and load all applicable orders into Create Invoice form.
Buttons and tools
- Clear Form: reset selections.
- Edit Patient: open patient demographics to correct details.
- Remove Patient: remove from the grid for this session.
- Merge Patient Accounts: merge duplicates (see “Merge Patient Accounts” topic).
Tips
- Use the facility’s Medicare Part A report to select the exact covered days to ensure accurate client billing.
- Review selections before applying-changes affect all orders on the chosen dates.
- Use Update and Bill to streamline month‑end invoicing after confirming days and per‑diem applicability.
