Order Search

Order Search is your command center for finding, filtering, and acting

The Order Search form is more than a lookup. It’s a centralized hub where you can locate any order quickly, surface the right context, and take action—without jumping between screens.

Powerful search controls

  • Global and column-level search: Start broad, then refine by specific columns (e.g., Client, Patient Last Name, Accession, Test, Status).
  • Smart operators per column: equals, not equal, contains, does not contain, begins with, ends with, is blank, between (for dates/numbers).
  • Date shortcuts: Today, Yesterday, Last 7/30/90 days, Custom range.
  • Composite filters: Build complex queries with AND/OR logic and parentheses in the Filter Editor.

Flexible grid and layout

  • Drag-and-drop columns: Reorder to match your workflow.
  • Show/hide columns: Use the column chooser to tailor the view to the task at hand.
  • Grouping: Group by any field-e.g., first by Client, then by Patient Last Name; expand/collapse to navigate large sets.
  • Multi-sort: Sort by multiple columns (e.g., Client A–Z, then Collection Date newest to oldest).

Advanced filtering made simple

  • Filter Editor: Build layered conditions (e.g., Client = “City Clinic” AND Status = “Final” AND (Name= “Doe” OR Bill To = “Insurance”)).
  • Column header filters: Each header doubles as a quick filter box with a picker for operator type.
  • Reusable: Save common values (clients, payers, providers) as quick-pick options to reduce typing errors.

Save and reuse as Custom Views

  • One-click recall: Save any combination of filters, sorts, groupings, and visible columns as a named Custom View.
  • Multiple views: Create task-specific views like “Final Today,” “Billing Holds,” “Missing ICD-10,” “Recollect Needed,” “Fax Failures.”

One-click actions from the grid

Open the More Options menu and buttons to:

  • Open order details for review/edit.
  • Preview/print the report; resend or requeue report distribution.
  • Add a one-time Additional Copy (e.g., alternate fax or specialist).
  • Print labels/requisitions; initiate recollect workflow.
  • Add/view Order Alerts and internal notes.
  • Toggle Hold Results or Hold Billing with a documented reason.
  • Launch “Create Case” pre-linked to the order.
  • Tag the order for routing and tracking (e.g., “ICD Clarification,” “Billing Review”).
  • View delivery and interface logs if available.

Bulk operations

  • Select multiple orders to:
    • Batch print reports or requisitions.
    • Requeue distribution to a destination.
    • Apply or clear tags.
    • Export the list to CSV/Excel for reconciliation or client reporting.

Example Custom Views you might create

  • Final Today (by Client): Status = Final; Date = Today; Group by Client → Patient.
  • Billing Holds: Hold Billing = On; Status ≠ Canceled; Show Payer, Bill-To, ICD-10 columns.
  • Missing Diagnosis: ICD-10 Is Empty OR = “R69”; Status = Pending; Tag = “ICD Clarification.”

By combining precise filters, a customizable grid, and direct actions, the Order Search form becomes your daily command center-find exactly what you need, see it the way you want, and act on it immediately.
