Specimen Type Master File

Specimen Type Master File

Specimen Types are usually entered at Order and Requisition entry. This information is used on the result reports, the lab requisition forms to display the type of specimen to be collected. It is also used to print labels so the system can group the test in one or more labels based on the specimen type.

📘 Instructions

Follow the steps below to add specimen types.

  1. Click on Master Files
  2. Click on Specimen Types
  3. When the form opens, fill in the fields marked with asterisks
  4. If needed, enter a description
  5. Click on the Add button to save
Notes
The Comments button can be used to enter additional instructions or special procedural requirements if needed.
