    • Generate reports for all tests in an order or only selected tests.

Filters, grouping, and layout

  • Grouping: Drag column headers (e.g., Client, Patient) to the group panel to create expandable sets.
  • Column control: Show/hide columns.

Report options and formatting

  • Content scope: All tests in order, selected tests only, include addenda/corrections, include images/attachments (as configured).
  • Layout: Portrait/landscape, page size, header/footer elements (logo, facility IDs, page numbers).
  • Watermarks: Choose a watermark for printed/exported copies; watermark text and style are configurable.

Distribution and delivery

  • Triggers
    • Result Inquiry sends on-demand copies; standard automated distribution occurs at release via Report Rules.
  • Destinations
    • Fax, secure email. You can add an Additional Copy for one-time sends.
  • Verification
    • Use delivery logs to confirm fax success, email bounces, requeue failures.

Note: Results appear on the portal only after they are released (Final/Corrected). Preliminary results are typically not visible unless your policy allows.

Security, compliance, and audit

  • PHI safeguards
    • Use secure fax and encrypted email; avoid PHI in email subject lines.
    • Apply “Confidential” watermarks where appropriate; use password-protected PDFs if required.
  • Audit trail
    • All actions (print, email, fax, export) are logged with user, timestamp, and destination.
  • Permissions
    • Access to export/distribution features is role-based.

Best practices

  • Save Custom Views (filters, groupings, visible columns) for recurring tasks like “Final Today by Client.”
  • Use Selected Tests to avoid sending unnecessary components.
  • Apply “Copy” watermark to supplemental distributions to prevent confusion with originals.
  • Verify delivery logs after bulk sends; requeue any failures promptly.
  • For corrected results, use the Corrected report option to clearly communicate revisions.
