Report Settings - headers, branding, and defaults

Use Report Settings to control the contact details, branding, and default templates that appear on patient and client reports. Access from Settings → Report Settings. The system ships with preloaded reports; advanced users can also create custom reports.

Note: The report logo must be 50 KB or smaller.

What you can configure

  • Header/contact: Phone, Fax, URL, Address
  • Branding: Logo upload (≤ 50 KB), facility/lab name
  • Footer/legal: disclaimers, CLIA/CAP numbers
  • Other metadata: NPI, performing site, additional lines (as supported)
  • Default report selection: keep System Default unless directed otherwise

These settings apply to system report templates and, in most cases, to custom reports unless a custom template overrides the header.

📘 Instructions: Set up Report Settings

  1. Click Settings.
  2. Click Report Settings.
  3. Complete the fields:
    • Phone, Fax, URL, Address
    • Logo: upload from your computer (ensure ≤ 50 KB; prefer PNG for clarity)
    • Use the footer for any additional fields shown on your form (lab name, CLIA, NPI, footer text, etc.).
  4. In Default Reports, leave System Default.
  5. Click Save.

Tip: Most fields are self‑explanatory; use concise, standardized formats (e.g., phone: (###) ###‑####).

Best practices

  • Logo: Use a high‑contrast image sized for print (upload ≤ 50 KB to meet the limit and ensure fast rendering).
  • URL: Point to a support or results portal landing page, not a deep link that may change.
  • Address: Use your primary performing site unless your custom reports render site‑specific headers.
  • Legal and accreditation: Include required identifiers (CLIA/CAP) if your template supports them.
  • Defaults: Keep System Default to ensure all modules use the intended standard templates; switch only if your admin has created validated custom defaults.

Troubleshooting

  • Logo won’t upload: Confirm file size ≤ 50 KB and a supported format (PNG). Compress or reduce dimensions if needed.
  • Wrong info on reports: Reopen Report Settings, correct the field(s), Save, then re‑preview a report.
  • Custom report ignoring header: The custom template may have its own header band; edit it in the report designer or remove the override to inherit system settings.
  • Pixelated logo on print: Upload a slightly larger but still ≤ 50 KB image with clean edges (prefer PNG), and avoid heavy compression artifacts.
