QC - Manual Result Entry (Control Results)

Use the Control Result Entry form to add or edit QC results for controls configured for manual entry. Access it from QC → Result Entry. Only controls set to Manual (not Interface) will be available.

What it’s for

  • Record QC values when an instrument does not transmit QC via interface.
  • Edit previously entered QC results for the same control/lot/test.

Prerequisites

  • Control, Lot, and Test associations must already be set up.
  • The Control’s transmission mode must be Manual.

📘 Instructions: Enter manual QC results

  1. Click QC.
  2. Click Result Entry.
  3. Click Search.
  4. In the search window, select the control(s) from the grid and click Done.
  5. In the second grid, enter the QC results, then click Save or Save and New to continue entering more.

Tips

  • Verify the selected Lot and effective dates before entering results.
  • Ensure units match the defined ranges to avoid incorrect flags.
  • If the control should appear but doesn’t, check Control Setup to confirm Manual mode and active associations.
