With Payment Posting Rules, denial and rejection workflows become more organized, allowing staff to complete the job faster and more efficiently.
A more experienced biller can create a Payment Posting Rule with conditions and actions such as:
If Bill Type is All
If Payer is All
If Contains
If Group Code is OA
If Adjustment Code is 109 or 31
Then: add to Case
Once the rule is executed, LIS will:
Set imported payments to On Hold so they do not continue revolving with newly imported payments
Distribute denials to the appropriate Case
Notify each assigned user by email when new denials are received
Allow users to begin working the denials immediately
Each case can include:
A brief analysis of the denial
Steps to correct the claim
Guidance on how to avoid the denial in the future
